Anna Khamzina

Anya Khamzina was born in Russia and completed her classical training at the Natalia Trishina and Yuly Medvedev School of Classic Dance. She then worked as a soloist at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Dachenko Moskow Academic Music Theater in Moscow, at the Aalto Ballet Theater in Essen and as principal soloist at the Zurich Ballet. She is the winner of the Golden Mask National Theater Prize for her role in "The Little Mermaid" by John Neumeier and has worked with greats such as William Forsythe, Crystal Pite, Paul Lightfoot, Sol Leo, Jorma Elo, David Dawson, Alexei Ratmansky and Edward Clug worked together.

Anya is looking forward sharing her experience and knowledge with other professional dancers. She looks forward to giving valuable input and observing the resulting progress. With her commitment Anya wishes to support the dancers and through the training serve as a well-founded preparation for more demanding movement sequences. In Anya’s eyes, ballet training is not only training for the body, but also stimulating the mind. Ballet offers a completely new perspective on movement.
