UDP, "Unity Dance Principals" Association, is a newly founded organisation located in Zurich, Switzerland. UDP is aiming to promote and support the training, education and production conditions for the professional dance scene in Switzerland and abroad. Vision & Mission

“Unity Dance Principals” Association`s vision is to support professional dancers in unlocking their full potential as a dance professional in the ever changing artistic and socio-economic environment.

Thru our educational program we aim to become one of the leading organisations/institutions for classical ballet and contemporary dance in Switzerland and internationally. As part of the UDP company talented aspiring and motivated performing artists can continue their training, perform and create their own productions.

Education program

The “UDP education program” is created by the UDP association under the guidance of the artistic advisers and the artistic co-ordinator. The educational program is articulated around classical and contemporary dance techniques. At the heart of the UDP activities is to work on repertoire and creating contemporary and neoclassical works. Performing a minimum of 3 different choreographies is a part of the “UDP education program”.

UDP supports the dance-performers (performing artists) to be responsive within the ever-growing demands they will encounter during their profession.

The “UDP education program” is a one year program with optional years by invitation. The courses take place at the Tanz+ Zwicky studios in Dübendorf, located between the city Zurich and the international airport Zurich.

The first Semester and starting project called “Season ONE” started in February 2022. The Highlight of the “Season ONE” program were two unique performances taking place in the “Tanz+ Zwicky” and the “Zwicky Areal”.

“Season TWO” is the continuation of the UDP Educational Program and started in SEPTEMBER 2022.
